PROJECT LEADER in the CELL CULTURE LAB
At the BIOPROCESSING TECHNOLOGY UNIT (BTU), we are recruiting
a post-doctoral scientist with at least 3 years experience to lead a group
of researchers in the area of mammalian (CHO, hybridomas, nerve, glia
cells), insect cells and haematopoietic stem cell cultures. Associated
knowledge of DNA, RNA, protein and antibody assays wil also be necessary,
preferably with experience in operating bioreactors.
S/He will be responsible for motivating and directing research to
develop and optimise novel methods to increase expression of monoclonals
and recombinant proteins. This person should also have an inclination to
develop these technologies for licensing to biotech companies and to
support the bioprocess needs of the local industry with the long term aim
of nurturing a biotech business in the Asia-Pacific region.
An attractive remuneration package with relocation expenses wil be
available for suitable candidates. (Asian scientists / engineers who have
intentions of returning to this region are particularly encouraged to apply.)
