Southeast U.S., with emphasis on anthropological, cultural, and environmental 
transitions of area since late 18th century. Also need information on literary 
analysis of stylistic qualities of "Travels," as well as his drawings, with 
emphasis on combination of Romantic and Rationalist tendencies reflecting 
Edenic ideal of early American intellectuals.
