Looking for Pollution Information

I am looking for analysis or case studies that relate to the effects
that the rail and sea transportation industries have had on the
trucking industry with regard to increased/decreased pollution levels,
decreased road damage, etc.

I am an economist by profession and am new to this Newsgroup.  If there
is a more appropriate newsgroup for this request, that information
would also be appreciated.
