Invasive weed

I am looking for detailed information about an invasive
plant which is emerging in a rural area outside the city
of Prince George (500 miles/800 km north of Vancouver,
Canada). It is known as Tar Weed -- madia glomerata Hook.

Apparently it is an annual, has a foul smell when handled,
(a cross between tar and pine needles) and may require
the use of herbicides to control it. Until more is known
about the plant, the public is being advised to mow it to
prevent it from going to seed.

I would appreciate receiving any information that may be
available on this plant. Thank you.
