OSTEOPOROSIS

Does anyone know whether the incidence of osteoporosis in a 
menopausal/post-menopausal woman is increased where her father has 
osteoporosis.  My understanding is that a family history does increase 
the risk but wonder whether this relates to a woman's mother with 
osteoporosis and not her father.  Can anyone please help me with this 
information.
