Applicationas are invited for one tenure-track postiion at the rank of
Assistant Professor, tenable september 1996. The successful candidate will
be expected to develop a strong biochemistry research program and
participate in teaching in the institute of Biochemistry. Special
consideration will be given to candidates with research experience in one
or more of the following areas: metabloic regulation: membrane protein
funciotn; signal transduction; protein/DNA interactions; structure,
function and biogenesis of macromolecules. The Department has close links
in teaching and research through a joint program with the Department of
Biology, University of Ottawa. There are opportunities for collabrative
work with the institute of Neuroscience on campus, with departments in the
Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, and with the Federal
Government Laboratories in health, biotechnology and agriculture in the
Ottawa region. In accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, this
