Microwaves action on milk for infants

bout the heating of milk in the microwave, somebody once
told me that it is even better than heating on the stove,
since the microwaves have a sterilizing effect, even 
before the solution starts to boil. Any truth in that ?

We also heat the milk in the microwave, but good mixing is essential
afterwards !
