U of Idaho or Washington State

I am applying to grad school at U of Idaho and Washington State, and I 
want to know more about the schools and their neuroscience and/or 
developmental biology research.  I'm planning to move across the country 
(from Alabama), and I want to know a little more about "life in the 
Northwest" before I move.  Anybody with info...undergrads, grads, or
