While you're about it, check out such techniques as high-performance
liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry (which can be combined with
gas or liquid chromatography). Manufacturers' handbooks are good sources of
information, and Methods in Enzymology and other review series will give some
info (but be prepared to spend a lot of time looking for the relevant articles.
Literature searches of chemistry and molecular biology journals using appro-
priate keywords will also be a big help. Good luck.
