Anyone know a lot about fish?

Hello one and all! I was wondering if anyone out there could tell me 
something about fish. You see, I am interested in building ponds, and
stocking them with plants and fish. I want an edible fish that would eat
the plants I stocked in the ponds. And also, I would like a fish that
bred quickly and successfully without too much trouble. Any information
would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks and I bid you good day. :)
