HEPARIN Effects on Blood

I am doing a third year project that involes the use of blood and have found
that the heparin that I am using seems to be lysing the blood cells. Has anyone
got any sergesions as to why this could be happening and at what concentration
I should be useing the heparin.
Please could you email me with any information as I do not get to lok at the
newsgroups very often.
