I do not know if a survey will do, but a few years ago I 
saw one in the mag. Cat Fancy.  The right-left paw 
preference was ( I seem to remember) was about the same 
ratio as found in humans!  If time is not to important, I 
think such surveys are updated occassionally and one my 
write the magazine.
