help for houdini

Bird in trouble !!!!
Can anyone offer advice to help
"Houdini" : A plump ultra friendly 
African Love Bird, Tentatively 
diagnosed as suffering
Psittacine Pruitic Polyfolliculisis.
He doesn't know he is sick and 
considers himself human. The 
apparent virus infection causes
feather plucking and the subsequent
replacement quills are deformed
and cause irritation and therefore 
further feather plucking.
The vet say's no cure, the bird dies soon.
All Suggestions Greatly Appreciated.
He needs HELP!
