Recently in my biology class, we have made transverse cuts in planaria and are know observing them regenerate. I'm fascinated by The Anterior-Posterior Gradient. Any theories on why the regeneration is less complete as the cut is made further from the head? Has this phenomena ever been quantified? Lisa
