"Subclass of bHLH Proteins Required for Cardiac Morphogenesis"

Sriastava, Cjserjesi and Olson (Science,Vol 270 Dec 22, 1995)

I was wondering what the general response to this paper was.

I think many people may have been surprised to see a bHLH protein in cardiogenesis after such a
long unfruitful search by others in the past.

I know many people are betting on the GATA family of transcription factors as playing a major role in
cardiac muscle development.

ANy one have any opinions on this? Where would you go next.... DD-PCR to find the genes that the putative transcription
factors eHAND and dHAND activate or regulate?
