Inexpensive techniques for starving students

Does anybody know of any electrophoretic or other inexpensive techniques 
that can be utilized to quantitate the amount of TG's (triglycerides), 
FFA's (Free fatty acids), and/or Lipoproteins (HDL, VLDL, And LDL's)?

Any information or refernces would be appreciated by this starving 
college student! :-)
