Neutral RED assays

A neutral red solution is stable for months if the dye is dissolved in 
distilled water. We make a 2X stock solution in water and mix it with 2X 
buffer or medium immediately before staining. If you stain the cells for 
less than about two hours, and then change medium, there should be no 
precipitate problems.
