LPS inhibition of CYCLOHEXAMIDE SUPERINDUCTION

I am currently studying a gene which is LPS inducible and is also
cyclohexamide (CHX) superinducible, no problem. However, when LPS and
CHX are added simultaneously, gene expression is completely switched
off. I would expect it to at least return to the level superinduced by
CHX, however in the presence of CHX, LPS seems to act as an inhibitor
rather than an inducer. Has anyone seen this before, or are there any
suggestions as to why it is occuring?
