Sure. But HIV sure helps Pneumocystis and other opportunistic infections 
to settle if it kills the T-cells, doesn't it?

You're just saying that a bullet doesn't kill you. It's only the loss of 
blood, or the malfunctioning heart (with a hole in the middle)...
