phenol:chloroform extractioon and chloroform extraction

I'm following a procedure to extract DNA from baker's yeast.  I've ran into
a problem because the procedure calls for  phenol:chloroform extractions
and chloroform extractions, which I do not have a procedure for.  If you
have any information that you think would be helpful please let me know.
