Help w/ RBC ghosts

For a cell biology lab, I would like the students to prepare ghosts from
red blood cells, and then extract the peripheral membrane proteins
(spectrin, actin, etc.) from them.  Would someone please provide me with
protocols for both the preparation of the ghosts and for the extraction of
these proteins either by posting here, or by email.
