Filtration of Potassium Chloride

Dear Everyone:

I think that magnesium chloride solution cannot be filtrate by Nalgene's 
0.22micrometer filter, because after filtration, colored material is 
remained in the filter. I did not confirm the exact concentration of 
magnesium chloride by analytical method. Is potassium chloride solution 
same case as magnesium chlroride? I would appreciated if you reply.
