THEORY AND PRACTICE OF
RAPID IMMUNODIAGNOSTIC TESTS
A THREE DAY WORKSHOP
An in-depth course limited to 20 participants, presenting the basic
methodologies, in theory and practice, for the development of rapid
immunochromatographic diagnostic tests.
DATE: NOVEMBER 6,7 AND 8, 1996
LOCATION: ADAMS MARK AIRPORT HOTEL
2544 EXECUTIVE DRIVE
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 46241
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Rapid immunochromatographic and immunoconcentration technologies are
routinely used in human and veterinary health care and in agricultural
and environmental screening tests. This workshop will provide the
participant "practical hands-on" experience in the development of rapid
immunodiagnostic tests.
The three day course covers the basics involved in the development of
rapid immunochromatographic (lateral flow) and immunoconcentration (flow
through) assays. The theory and practice of solid phase membrane
materials selection, reagent formulations, liquid dispensing
methodologies, test strip assembly and product stability will be
presented. Production scale up, manufacturing constraints and quality
control aspects will also be addressed.
