We are looking for a highly motivated person to join immediately as a
post doctoral fellow in our laboratory. This position carries an annual
salary of about 60,000 SFr.

Our on going projects are:
1) Protein folding in the periplasm of E.coli. This involves work
related with disulfide bond formation as well as characterization of
other folding catalysts like PPIases.

2) E.coli heat shock response, in particular characterization of rpoE(
sigma E) regulon. Its regulation by an antisigma factor etc.

3) Signal transduction pathways which are induce in response to protein
misfolding : This work involves study of a cascade of phosphorylation
and dephosphorylation events. We have discovered a class of novel
phosphatases involved in this process.

4) Characterization of some Heat shock induced proteases.
