We wonder if some one can help us with the problem we are facing. We are 
conducting research on the production of chemicals from molasses using 
microorganisms including Aspergillus niger and yeast. In an attempt to remove 
heavy metals from molasses, we add 
potassium ferrocyanide, a process well documented in the literature. Despite our 
efforts, and obtaining the ferrocyanide from various sources, we can not get the 
fungus to germinate on this clarified molasses. 

Does anyone have any comment??
