sleep on day

Hello everybody,

you sure have heard about people who snore when they are asleep, at night.

You will probably know that, for that reason, they suffer an obstruction in
their breathing system and there is a shortage of oxygen that possibly
makes
them sleepy during the day. Sometimes their work is affected by it.

There seems to be an operation which is said to solve the problem. It
consists
of cutting off a bit of the rear palate so as to avoid the breathing
obstruction.

Has anybody been operated or does anybody know a person who has?

Could anybody give me some information about the results of such an
operation?

Thank you very much.
