You may also wish to try RightPrimer. A free
version of this program, which was reviewed in
Biotechnology Software Journal (in early 1995), can
be downloaded from

It is a user-friendly, effective program which
selects primers based on the frequencies of
oligonucleotide sequences present in the genome of
the species whose DNA is being amplified. (It
derives these frequencies from GenBank.)
