secondary messanger system

Hi

I have been given a challenge to find out the name of a secondary
messanger system. I do not no any biology etc , so apologies if the
question makes little sense.

All I know is that it has something to do with receptor activation and
cell signalling. Also that the acronym is alphanumeric (if thats any
help).

Can anyone help
