Treatment of NaOH for RNA work

Dear everyone:

Is the treatment of apparatus with 0.1N NaOH effectful for RNA work? If
effectful, how
long should I emerge in it? After that, I wash the apparatus with DEPC
water autocalved.
I found no manuals or text books mensioning it. I appreciated for any
answer. Thanks.
