CpG mutations as a marker of mutation rate?

The C - T transition at CpG dinucleotides is a well known form of mutation.
Does anyone know of any literature which has compared the frequency of this
kind of mutation in different genes to compare the mutation _rate_ in the
genes? Any literature citations would be very appreciated.
