IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF ILLINOIS, PLEASE READ THIS SHORT MESSAGE:
The Illinois Senate passed Senate Bill 1867 the permanent removal
of the 5% sales tax on motor fuel.
The Illinois House of Representatives failed to consider Senate
Bill 1867.
If you are outraged and do not want your gasoline prices to go up
6-10 cents a gallon, please call Governor Ryan at (217) 782-6830
or e-mail him at mailto:governor at state.il.us. Also you can call
your State Representative and tell him to pass Senate Bill 1867.
THE TAX THAT KEEPS ON TAKING
Because the sales tax is 5% of the retail price of gasoline it is
the tax that keeps on taking. The higher the retail price the
larger the tax.
Please contact Governor Ryan and your State Representative today.
Tell him to pass Senate Bill 1867 - IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ANY ILLINOIS FAMILIES.
