[Bioforum] 1000 Genomes' VCF: where is reference genome?

Hi all,

VCF 4.0 lists SNPs in "Chr. number Position Ref ALT", e.g. it can be "1
42342 A C" meaning
in Chr.1 at position 42342 "A" has changed to "C". Now the question is,
what is the reference
genome for VCF? I.e. where do I find the sequence that VCF uses as a
reference?
