A postdoctoral position is available our laboratory at the
Bioengineering
department to develop the next-generation genome technologies for stem
cell
research based on large-scale DNA synthesis and manipulation, and
ultra-high
-throughput DNA sequencing.

Salary is commensurate with experience following the institutional
guidelines. Initial appointment is one year, and can be renewed
annually up
to five years. Expected starting date is between October 2007 and
January

Requirements: A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in genetics, genomics, stem
cell
biology or related fields with less than 3 years of post-doctoral
experiences. Past research experiences in genomic analyses, especially
large
-scale DNA sequencing and genomic library construction, as well as
bioinformatic analyses would be a plus. Candidates with strong
motivation
and good communication skills will be preferably considered.
