I am looking for a microbiology laboratory supervisor for a large diagnostic
company in Lenexa, KS.  

 

Large Diagnostic laboratory is searching for a Microbiology Laboratory
Supervisor 

 

This position is day shift: 8 am - 5 pm; Located in Lenexa, KS

This is for a lab that runs 24/7 and has about 5,000 samples a night. They
will be supervising 40-50 people in a 24 hour shift.

As a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor, you will perform the daily
activities as described below.

Supervise day to day activities in a highly productive microbiology
laboratory. Insure implementation of standard practices including
validation, training, and competency assessment. Insure consistency across
all laboratory personnel with our practices and SOPs. Provide oversight and
review for QC,QA and QI programs.  Continually evaluate workflow for
streamlining production and working in the most efficient manor. Serve as
resource to clients, and client services.  

Required Knowledge: Clinical microbiology expertise MT (ASCP) 

Required Experience: Minimum 3 years

The candidate MUST be:

 

1.  A Certified Medical Technologist

 

2. Must have at least 3 years of clinical microbiology testing experience
(Experience that will not count: candidates working as an intern or clinical
rotation at school or coming from research background)

 

3. Must have at least 3 years of supervising clinical microbiology testing 

4. Have a BS (MS ok too)

Special Requirement: Must be committed to work in a fast pace environment
and committed to teamwork. Some travel may occasionally be required.
