Postdoctoral Position on plant transcriptional factors
One postdoctoral position on plant transcriptional factors is open at Canadian Forest Service (CFS), Victoria, BC. The successful candidates will work independently in a team-based environment on a research project of conifer transcriptional factor family aimed at uncovering their gene expression and biological function as related to plant disease infection and other environmental stresses. This PDF position requires the PhD in plant molecular biology in last 5 years. Experience with transgenic Arabidopsis, protein-DNA and protein-protein interactions is highly desired. Applicants with molecular techniques, such as RT-qPCR, immuno-histochemical analysis, recombinant protein, both in-vitro and in-vivo analyses of transcriptional factor, and yeast-two hybridization, are preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
