2nd IAPR Workshop on Pattern Recognition in Bioinformatics (PRIB 2007)
Parkroyal on Coleman Street, Singapore
October 1 - 2, 2007
**************************************************************************
Organizers
School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
IAPR Technical Committee on Pattern Recognition for Bioinformatics
Sponsor
International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR)
This workshop is aimed to bring together top researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to discuss the applications of pattern recognition methods in the field of bioinformatics to solve problems in life sciences. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers for the presentation at the workshop. Applications relevant to the workshop include but are not limited to:
bio-sequence analysis
gene and protein expression analysis
protein structure and interaction prediction
motifs and signal detection
ontologies and taxonomies
systems biology, pathway analysis
immunoinformatics
evolution and phylogeny
biological databases
bio-imaging
Pattern recognition techniques of interests include: statistical, syntactic and structural approaches, neural networks, fuzzy techniques, genetic algorithms, graphical models, data mining techniques, and their hybrids.
