bionet.used-equipment goes down in flames 8-(

Interest was not that great for the proposed bionet.used-equipment
newsgroup.  Only 55 votes were cast.  47 were YES votes and 8 NO
votes.  This fell short of the 80 vote minimum so the group will not
be created.  Also note that at least three months must elapse before a
similar proposal can be brought to a vote again.

On another note, the new groups bionet.plants and bionet.xtallography
will be ready soon now that the transfer of the lists from IRLEARN is
complete.  The USENET newsgroup for crystallography is running but the
parallel mailing list is not quite ready yet.
