bionet.biochem.carotenoids does NOT PASS - 39 YES, 3 NO

The turnout for the vote on the CAROTENOIDS newsgroup was rather
small; it came nowhere close to obtaining 80 votes, so it will not be
created as a BIOSCI newsgroup.

There are two options available.  The newsgroup proposal can either be
reconsidered in three months or else the discussion leader, Dr.
Scolnik, can contact me about creating this group as a trial mailing
list for six months as I outlined in my posting to this forum
yesterday.
