The following two new prototype newsgroups were created at
net.bio.net.
emf-bio at net.bio.net Discussions on the electromagnetic field
interactions with biological systems.
urodeles at net.bio.net Discussions among research scientists
using urodele amphibians (axolotls,
salamanders, and newts) in any biological
field.
I am pleased to announce that the EMF-BIO prototype newsgroup has been
established for the International Society for Bioelectricity, a FASEB
Society, and most of their members are already subscribed.
Prototype newsgroups are essentially mailing lists (see the end of the
newly revised BIOSCI info sheet for details) run only at the BIOSCI
node at net.bio.net, not daresbury.ac.uk. USENET distribution is not
currently available. These groups have a six month period to become
full-fledged newsgroups.
If you would like to participate by e-mail (regardless of your
geographical location), please address an email message to
biosci-server at net.bio.net
and leave the Subject: line blank. In the body of the message, put
EITHER or BOTH of the following commands:
subscribe emf-bio
subscribe urodeles
Please be SURE to mail your subscription request to
biosci-server at net.bio.net
and NOT to the newsgroup posting address above or to this newsgroup!!
Sincerely,
Dave Kristofferson
