The INFO-GCG/bionet.software.gcg newsgroup has passed our tests and is
operational at both daresbury.ac.uk and net.bio.net.

USENET users do not need subscriptions and can post directly to
bionet.software.gcg at your local site. Please be sure to set your
article distribution to either "world" or "bionet" if the latter
option is available.

The INFO-GCG mailing list at UTORONTO has been split between our two
BIOSCI sites. If you subscribed by e-mail at UTORONTO you need not
sign up again. If you now want to use USENET instead of mail, please
contact the appropriate biosci address below to cancel your e-mail
subscription.

We are now accepting new e-mail subscriptions at the usual addresses
according to your location (see below). If you wish to participate by
e-mail, you must request a subscription to be added to this list.
Voting in favor of the newsgroup does not automatically sign you up on
the mailing list.

Subscription Address Location
-------------------- --------
biosci at daresbury.ac.uk Europe, Africa, and Central Asia
biosci at net.bio.net Americas and the Pacific Rim

E-mail users can post messages (EXCEPT SUBSCRIPTION REQUESTS!!!) to
one of the following addresses:

Address Location
------- --------
info-gcg at daresbury.ac.uk Europe, Africa, and Central Asia
info-gcg at net.bio.net Americas and the Pacific Rim

Messages posted by mail show up in USENET news and vice versa.

People who are unfamiliar with the BIOSCI/bionet newsgroups should
request the BIOSCI FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) sheet via mail to
biosci at net.bio.net. This covers a variety of useful topics about
participating in the newsgroups, searching BIOSCI archives, etc.
