The 3rd International Genes Proteins & Computers conference will be
held in Chester UK between the 7th-9th September 1994. This conference
deals with bioinformatics and computational molecular biology. NOTE
THAT THIS CONFERENCE IS FOR THE BENEFIT OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGISTS SO
DON'T BE FRIGHTENED BY THE TITLE (Interested computer scientists are
welcome though). Full details will be posted presently but please
mark these dates in your diary. Accepted speakers and general content
(my own titles to be altered by the speakers) include:

Patricia Rodriguez-Tome (Genethon): Large scale mapping
Steve Oliver (UMIST): Chromosome analysis.
David Jones (UCL): Folds and threading
Willie Taylor (NIMR): Membranes & ab initio prediction
Jeff Skolnik (SCRIPPS): Lattices
Peter Rice (EMBL): Maintaining accurate databases
Rob Harper (CSC): Essential (network) tools for the biologist
Thure Etzold (EMBL): The Sequence Retrieval System. Making life
easy for the biologist in relating information
                        in one database to another.

Poster contributions are invited from which the best 4 abstracts will
be asked to give a talk. There is also a commercial exhibition.

I hope this whets your appetites.

Rgds
