Conference Announcement: Environmental Biotechnology

An "International Symposium/Workshop on ENVIRONMENTAL BIOTECHNOLOGY" will be 
held from July 4 to July 8, 1994 at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, 
Ontario, Canada  (100 km west of Toronto).

Conference sponsors include the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP)
and UNESCO.  The conference chair is Prof. Murray Moo-Young, NSERC Industrial
Biotechnology Chair-holder in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the 
University of Waterloo.

The meeting will provide a forum for information transfer among a
multidisciplinary group of scientists, engineers and others from
industry, academia and government.  Topics to be covered in oral and
poster presentations and panel discussions include:

Bioprocess Engineering and Equipment Design
Bioremediation of Soils and Groundwater
Biological Water Treatment
Biomonitoring and Biosensors
Bio-utilization of Residues and Wastes
Risk Assessment and Regulatory Issues
International Perspectives
Technology Transfer and Business Opportunities

Although the oral presentation program is now largely filled, there are still 
a number of places available for poster presentations.  Abstracts should be 
submitted to the address below as soon as possible.
