Dear Subscribers

Thank you for joining this mailing list "ET-IUFRO" for the electronic 
workshop on "Wood Energy in the Tropics".

Andy Kenny <kenney at forestry.utoronto.ca> is your chairman for 
the Workshop which starts on Sept 1st. He will post a more complete list 
of papers for discussion at the 2nd week of August. 

The following titles may interest some of your friends who have not 
joined this list, please forward this message to them. 

1. Albertina Lourenci & Newton G Bretas (Brazil): "Approaches that unravel 
   the high potential sustainability of exploitation of eucalyptus and 
   bamboo production and use in the tropics".

2. V Santhakumar & R Rajagopalan (India): "Bio-energy systems of the 
   agricultural land of humid-tropic Kerala : Limitations of conventional 
   technological packages and policy prescriptions".

3. Damodar Parajuli (Nepal): "Wood Energy Development in Nepal"


CALL FOR PAPERS 
The deadline for the call for papers is extended to July 31st since we
like to have about 10 papers. Please send your Abstract to me since Andy 
Kenny is on vacation until Aug 9th. 

Note: Funding of upto USD 200 is available to authors from developing 
countries for your communication costs.
