Since many resume contributors to MedSearch America do not have
gopher or mosaic access, this is to let you know that the
RESUME DATABASE is FINALLY ONLINE! Thanks for your patience.
--------------- ---------------

We also have a NEW RESUME FORMAT that will make it much easier for
Employers to search and find your resume, and easier for us to
process. For those of you who have yet to hear of MedSearch America,
it is always FREE to submit your resume to MedSearch America
(as it is to search jobs and use other job seeker services).

You can access MedSearch America directly by typing -
"gopher gopher.medsearch.com 9001" (without the quotes).

How to Prepare and Post your Resume
-----------------------------------

Please print or copy this document and follow the directions
carefully. This NEW format will help us with faster and more accurate
processing, and will make it easier for employers to find your resume.

** YOUR RESUME WILL APPEAR IN THE MEDSEARCH AMERICA PUBLIC ACCESS DATABASE **
PLEASE CHECK YOUR RESUME ONLINE 48 HOURS AFTER SENDING TO MAKE SURE
IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY CODED AND OTHERWISE APPEARS AS YOU INTENDED.

               CONTACT AND JOB PREFERENCE INFORMATION
               ------------------------------------
1) The information below should APPEAR BEFORE YOUR RESUME or any
other information and ONLY on the TOP LEFT of your first page.
Your name, address, phone, mail info should NOT appear
anywhere else including within your resume.

2) Each line of text should NOT EXCEED 75 characters and spaces across
for your resume to display properly.

3) Your Contact Information (if properly submitted) will not be displayed
in the Public-Access Database. Your identity will be available to any
interested Employers/ Recruiters even if they are not members of MSA.

4) Do not draw any text boxes around these entries or make any other
formatting that would interfere with the computer properly reading
your contact and job preference information.

At the TOP LEFT SIDE of your page write the information that appears
IN CAPS below, and write your responses to each item starting with
one space after the colon. (See the example that follows)

  1) Remember that the text SHOULD NOT EXCEED 75 characters across
(characters and spaces), or it will not display as you intend.

  2) DO NOT INCLUDE PERSONAL OR CONTACT INFORMATION in the
body of your resume. Social Security or other Identification
numbers should never appear in a public access area.
Since we do not know if this information was unintentionally
included in the public database, we will exclude those resumes
that have personal information when we find them.

  3) FOR ADDITIONAL PRIVACY, you may want to consider not naming past
employers or providing references. The interested employer will
request this information after you are contacted.

Hint: View your resume in Notepad or Dos Editor to check how it
     will display online.

Leave at least 2 blank lines between RESUME: and the body of your
     resume.

   related Newsgroups.

   Thank you.
