PIR 45, all versions, now available

The latest version of the PIR-International protein sequence
databank, Release 45, is now available in all forms.

Gopher or Web to 
	gopher://gopher.bchs.uh.edu
and use "Fast PIR lookup" 

Anonymous FTP on
  ftp://ftp.bchs.uh.edu/pub/gene-server/pir/pir_rel45/{ascii, vms, vms_lzw} 


The formats are
ascii: CODATA format, compressed
vms: Unix compress format of the files used by GCG v. 7 & 8, new NBRF format
vms_lzw: lzcompress format (preserves RMS file characteristics), new NBRF format
