                     COMPUTER-BASED LEARNING IN GENETICS

   The workshop will review the provision of computer-based materials for
   the teaching and learning of tertiary-level genetics. Paper sessions
   will cover examples and ideas for the use of commercial, shareware and
   public domain products together with approaches to `in-house'
   development. Themes will include bioinformatics, mapping, techniques
   in molecular biology, computer-based assessment and an overview of
   national and international developments in this area. There will be a
   `poster' session to permit participants opportunities for `hands-on'
   evaluation of the products.

     * Alan Radford (University of Leeds)
