Launch of the Open Molecule Foundation

Dear all,
The 19th of September 1996 sees the official launch of the Open Molecule
Foundation (OMF). The OMF is an open, non-profit making organisation,
which intends to provide reusable, pre-competitive applets and Java
packages to be made freely available over the Internet for the bio- and
chemo- informatics communities.
Membership of the OMF is free to academics and non-profit making
organisations,
and there is a varying scale of commitment for commercial organisations.

Sun, amongst others, is a keen supporter of this open organisation, and
as such has kindly agreed to host the launch event at it's City of
London offices (25 Ropemaker Street, London, EC2Y 9AS).
