A 3 year studentship post, starting October 1997 is available within
the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences at Coventry
University.  The standard grant will be supplemented by GBP 2,000.
The project will be conducted within the Center for Molecular and
Biomolecular Electronics and may be selected from the following
topics:

  * Novel Modification of Antibodies for Biosensors (requires Biochemist
    or Analytical Chemist)

  * Applications for Conducting Polymers (requires Chemist, Physicist or
    Materials Scientist)

  * New Side-Chain Functionalised Polymers (requires Chemist or Polymer
    scientist)

  * Ion-Channels in Natural and Biomimetic Bilayer Systems (requires
    Physical Chemist or Biochemist)

The applicant must hold a first or upper second class honours degree
in an appropriate discipline and will be expected to register for a PhD.
