Eijkman Centennial on Infections in the 21st Century
"Successes from the past - challenges for the future"

December 13-17th 1998
The Netherlands Congress Centre, The Hague, The Netherlands

The Eijkman-Winkler Institute would like to celebrate this centennial by
presenting the current available knowledge on known infectious diseases and
emerging infections. A selected group of experts in the field will present
keynote lectures on Emerging Infectious Disease, Novel Therapeutics,
Pathogenesis, and Health Care policies. It is the aim of the Organizing
Committee to create a scientific ambiance of very high standards and to
include many young scientists from all over the world. Scientific
contributions in the form of oral and poster presentations are welcome. The
Committee would also like to stimulate interaction between today's leaders
in research and clinical practice and the leaders of tomorrow. A commercial
exhibition will also be present during the symposium for the inspiration and
mutual interest of both the delegates and the companies.
