Plant Proteomics workshop, 4 October 1999, York, UK

You might be interested to know more about a Plant Proteomics workshop organised by the Plant Protein Club.

The Plant Protein Club is a pre-competitive science and technology club with membership drawn from industry, academia and
government which aims to stimulate efficient progress in the fundamental understanding, use and manipulation of native and
recombinant proteins to meet the needs of industry. PPC's principal objective is to promote the exchange of ideas and expertise
between communities specialising in protein structure, plant biology and their industrial applications. It works toward this
objective via a series of technology-driven short courses, workshops and annual symposia.

The club is keen to promote the use of emerging technologies, and is currently organising a one-day awareness workshop on
Plant Proteomics, to be held in York, 4 October 1999. It is envisaged that the workshop will be relatively small (up to 75
participants) and relatively informal in order to encourage maximum interaction among participants. A programme is currently
being compiled but a provisional timetable is given below.
